Coast Guard website restored

The official website of Bangladesh Coast Guard has backed three and half hours after it was apparently hacked by a group of Pakistani hackers.

The website has been restored to it's previous state around 11:15am Wednesday.

Earlier, the site (http://www.coastguard.gov.bd/) was found hacked around 8:50am Wednesday.

The hackers who identified themselves as “Pak Cyber Pyrates,” wrote on the webpage: “Salam dear Bangladeshi brothers. Some of yours kids are trying to play with Pak cyber space. We warned them already but they are still doing same shit.

“We have to prove to these kids that who is Papa here. No we will Ra*e ya cyber space badly :D. You people should stop your kids play around like this....we always consider the Bangla people as our brothers.. no matter where and what politics is!”

While visiting the site at 10am, the website was displaying the notification “This Site Is Under Construction”.

While contacted, Coast Guard official (Detective Section) Kamruzzaman said they noticed the matter on Wednesday morning and informed the authorities.

“The authorities took quick step in this regard and the restored the site around 11:15am.”
