At least three people, including a man and his daughter, have been killed when a bus rammed into a private car in the district's Trishal upazila.
Of the deceased, one is Abdul Aziz, a doctor by profession. Aziz's daughter and their household help also died in the incident. However, their name could not be ascertained immediately.
OC Moniruzzaman of Trishal Police station said: “A bus rammed into a private car in Bagan area around 4pm Monday, leaving Doctor Aziz dead on the spot and four others injured.
“Of the injured, Aziz's daughter and their domestic help succumbed to their injuries at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. His wife and their driver are now undergoing treatment there. Their condition is stated to be critical too.”
He further said the bus has been seized. “However, the driver fled the scene.”
