At least three people, including a man and his son, have been killed in two separate incidents of road accidents.
The deceased are Azharul Islam, 42, his son Noor Morshed,9, of Rampur village under Burichong upazila, and Hasu Begum, 50, a local beggar.
Mainamati Highway police station SI Amar Chandra said: “a bus of Comilla Transport ran over Azhar and his son in Debpur area around 9am Monday, leaving them dead on the spot.”
SI Mainul Islam of Iliotganj Highway police outpost said: “A bus of Hanif Paribahan fell into a roadside ditch at Kutumbopur under Chandina upazila around 7am Monday, leaving a local beggar dead on the spot and injured 15 others.”
