A local passenger bus fell into a roadside ditch killing one person and injuring at least one more at Bhadrasan area under Shibchar upazila in Madaripur district.
According to witnesses, the bus started for Gopalpur, Shariatpur from Shibchar bus stand.
The bus driver lost control when it went near Bhadrasan area and plunged into the ditch on Monday afternoon.
Locals rescued and rushed the injured to Shibchar health complex where one of them died.
The identity of the dead and injured could not be found immediately.
Assistant Superintendent of Police of Madaripur, Moniruzzaman Fakir said the recovery process of the bus was underway, confirming the death of one person.
