Four arrested for attempt on Taiwanese couple's life

The arrests were made on Thursday night, Rab Legal and Media Wing Assistant Director Senior ASP Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan told the Dhaka Tribune on Friday. Wang Ming Chi, 54, and his wife Li Li Hwa, 50, own a business in Gazipur and have been living in Bangladesh for the last 10 years. Wang is the managing director of Xin Xing Yang International Company Limited and Li is a director at the factory. They sustained severe injuries when their former employees attacked them on Nov 5, 2015 during a robbery. Three people entered their house after opening the door with a duplicate key. They attacked the couple before making away with valuables. Rab said they would brief the media about the arrests later in the day.
