Police have detained a drug peddler with 600 pieces of yaba tablets from Zeropoin area in Khulna.
Saiful Islam was detained with the yaba tablets around 9:30pm Thursday. He is the son of Md Riaz Uddin Sardar of Satkhira.
Khulna Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Special Branch ADC Sheikh Moniruzzaman Mithu said: “Acting on a tip-off, we conducted a driver in the area and detained drug peddler Saiful with the yaba tablets.”
Horintana OC MD Akhter Hossain said: “Saidul was supposed to delive the yaba tablets to syndicate here. A case has been filed with the police station in this connection.”
