Elite force RAB will set up two temporary camps each at Mawa and Paturia ghats to check overloading of passengers in the launches during Eid-Ul-Fitr, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) chief Benazir Ahmed has said.
Director General of RAB made the statement while briefing the media during his visit at Kamalapur Railway Station on Thursday morning.
He said: “Overloading of passengers is identified as one of the reasons of launch capsize, so we will set up the camps on the ghats to check on the matter.”
The DG also said temporary camps will also be set up in the big bus terminals and railway stations to ensure hassle free and safe journey for the home-goers during the Eid.
