The High Court (HC) has rejected the second time chance for appearing at Dhaka University admission test.
A High Court bench of Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Kazi Md Ijarul Haque Akanda passed the order on Wednesday.
Dhaka University lawyer ASM Mezbahuddin confirmed this to the Dhaka Tribune.
On Tuesday, the bench fixed Wednesday after final hearing on the rule as to why students would not be given the second chance.
The same bench had issued the rule on Mar 16 after parents of the students moved a writ petition on March 12 seeking the rule. The court had also asked why the university’s decision to not allow second-timers would not be declared illegal.
The respondents - DU vice-chancellor, registrar, assistant registrar and examinations controller along with the UGC chairman and education secretary were asked to submit their answers within two weeks.
