Road communication of Kishoreganj with other parts of the country has been suspended as Kishoreganj district road transport owners association enforced an indefinite transport strike.
The strike was called centering a dispute between the owners and workers associations.
The strike called by transport workers association on Saturday was later postponed. However, the owners association enforced strike for indefinite period from Sunday morning.
Alamgir Murad Reza, general secretary of district road transport owners association, said the workers association called their strike illegally without informing the road transport authority.
"Our strike will continue until the persons involved with the illegal decision are punished," he added.
District road transport authority president SM Alam said they were trying to resolve the matter holding discussions with the both parties.
