A team of Detective Branch (DB) of Police has detained two suspected militants with explosives from the capital's Mohammadpur area.
DMP Additional Deputy Commissioner Jahangir Alam Sarkar confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
He, however, said the identities of the detainees could not be ascertained yet.
The suspected militants were detained in a drive conducted on Wednesday night, the police official said.
Meanwhile, three pistols and 16 rounds of ammunition were recovered from their possession.
