Poet Mahadev Saha has been admitted into a hospital in Canada with lung and heart complications, BSS reported on Tuesday quoting family sources.
The noted poet and also a journalist went to the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, Canada on Friday last.
Saha is now under the treatment of Dr. Ven Olm (Internal Medicine & Lung specialist), Dr. Kohen (Cardiologist) and Dr. Kolman (Cardiologist).
He urged all to pray for his early recovery.
Ekushey Padak, Bangla Academy Award winner Mahadev Saha wrote 55 books of poetry, three books for children, four of essays and one volume of selected poems.
He is also the recipient of Zebunnesa-Mahabubullah Award, Alaol Shahitya Award, Khalekdad Chowdhury Smriti Padak and Saadat Ali Akhand Award.
