About 150 rooms of a tin-shed colony have been gutted in a fire at Konabari in Gazipur.
Deputy Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service Aktaruzzaman Liton said the fire originated at a room of the colony on Monday morning. "Soon the fire spread to other rooms and burnt down about 150 rooms."
Being informed, six units of fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the flame after a one-and-half-an-hour effort.
It is primarily being suspected that the fire might have originated from gas stove.
None was reportedly injured in the incident.
