Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left Dhaka for Delhi after wrapping up his two-day official visit to Bangladesh.
This was Modi's maiden visit to Bangladesh after his swearing-in as the 15th prime minister of India on May 26, 2014.
A special Indian Air Force jet named "Rajdoot" carrying the Indian premier and members of his entourage departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:55pm Sunday, BSS reports.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina saw the Indian premier off at the VVIP Tarmac of the airport.
During his visit, Modi visited several historical places and met political leaders in Bangladesh.
He received the Friends of Bangladesh Liberation War Award bestowed on former Indian prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee for the latter’s role in the Bangladesh Liberation War.
