Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza has sustained minor injuries to both his hands in a road accident in Mirpur.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon when a bus hit a rickshaw in which he was travelling to Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium from his Mirpur residence. At the time, he fell off the rickshaw and sustained injuries in both of his hands.
Mashrafe told this to the sports correspondent of Dhaka Tribune at the stadium.
He was treated at the ground, where he had both hands bandaged.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurasingha told ESPNcricinfo: "This is unfortunate. We are concerned about his palm,"
"But we will give him maximum chance to recover in time for the ODI series."
Mashrafe's next international assignment for Bangladesh is the three-ODI series at home against India, which begins on June 18.
