Two passersby have been killed as a truck ran them over in Radhika Bus Stand area on Comilla-Sylhet highway in Brahmanbaria.
The deceased Yasin Bhuiyan, 32, son of late Hormuj Ali of Jogorshar village and Saidul Islam, 8, son of Jakir Hossain of South Jogorshar village.
Brahmanbaria OC Akul Chandra Biswas said: “The truck ran them over while they were crossing the road around 8am Wednesday, killing them on the spot.”
He said locals caught truck driver Kazim Uddin and handed him over to the police. The truck has also been seized.
