Police have recovered the body of an unknown man, 60, who was killed being hit by a train on Dhaka-Mymensingh rail line at Kajibari area under Gazipur City Corporation.
The deceased had been wearing a brown and green colored lungi and vest, police said.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Dadon Mia of the Gaizpur Railway junction police camp said the old man died on the spot as he got hit on the head by a train in Kajirbari area in between Joydebpur and Dheerashrom on Monday.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body around 1pm.
The police official said the process of sending the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for an autopsy was underway.
