Customs Intelligence officials have seized 200 tablet PCs worth around Tk50 lakh at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The tablet PCs came from Hong Kong in 13 cartons on May 4 at the Cargo Section, said Customs Intelligence Assistant Director Umme Nahida.
She said: “Acting on a tip-off, a team of Customs Intelligence seized the tablet PCs of Huawei. The consignment came by Midline Express Courier service in the name of UCC Technology Ltd Dhaka.”
“They products worth Tk50 lakh were brought violating the import policy,” she added.
