SELISE rockin’ Software, a Swiss IT company producing international standard software, has started recruiting fresh computer graduates from different universities of Bangladesh since 2011.
Bangladeshi computer graduates are being recruited under the company’s super talent hunt programme.
SELISE’s founder CEO and majority shareholder Julian Weber came up with the disclosure while talking to the Dhaka Tribune at his Dhanmondi country office in the capital yesterday.
The company concentrates on hiring novice and take them through a methodical training period of three years.
This training period called “SELISE Super Talent Program” enables the fresh minds to absorb the best and most innovative practices of the global industry and be exposed to working with multinational corporations.
With a creative force distributed over four countries: Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Bhutan and Bangladesh, SELISE currently employs over 100 employees worldwide.
The business of the company are-SELISE customers, an insurance business, 80% of which are located in central Europe, Tele Communication, e-Government, Railway IT, Textile and Crowd Investing, Mobile Payment, Aviation, Mobile Gaming, Rich Media and Productivity.
“I first heard about Dhaka in 2006, but did not even know that Bangladeshistudents were graduating in computer science here. And even in 2010, when I first came here I did not know even know up to what extent I should engage myself in Dhaka over the next couple of years,” said Julian Weber.
He continued: “Today I am speaking at the premises of our new office in Dhaka. Now, I’ve understood the merit of Bangladeshi students as well as quality of Bangladeshi education system.”
Shah Ali NewajTopu, chief technology officer of SELISE said, “Super Talent Program is a non-binding 3 years contract for the fresh computer graduates across the country. The fresherare being mentored by the industry experts with real-life complex projects.”
“All the picked up students are bound to participate in various trainings, workshop and seminars under the SELISE School program and their performance are periodically evaluated,” said Topu.
After successful completion of three years training, youngsters can stay with the company or can leave it. Those, who stay with the company, will get salaries and other benefits as per international standard.
