Matlub elected as FBCCI president

Abdul Matlub Ahmad has been elected as the president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).

Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, former president of BGMEA, has been elected as first vice-president while Mahbubul Alam of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been elected as vice-president.

Unnayan Parishad panel led by Nitol Niloy Group Chairman Abdul Matlub Ahmad bagged 25 director posts out of 32 in the biennial election of the apex business body.

Swadhinata Byabshayee Parishad panel led by Monowara Hakim Ali, the incumbent first vice-president of the FBCCI, won four director posts in the poll.

Byabshayee Oikya Parishad led by Kazi Ertaza Hassan won three director posts. However, Kazi Ertaza Hassan could not win in the poll.
