Two persons have been beaten to death on suspicion of snatching a motorbike in Rajapur area under Jessore sadar upazila.
The deceased are Al-Amin, 28, and Ismail Hossain, 38.
Kotwali OC Shikdar Akkas Ali said the duo were following a motorcyclist on his way to home.
"Sensing the snatchers, motorcyclist Barun Kumar started shouting for help when reached near Rajapur village around 10:30pm Sunday. THen locals rushed in and beaten the duo," said the OC.
He said injured Al-Amin and Ismail were taken to Jessore 250-Bed Hospital where they died while undergoing treatment.
However, according to the hospital register book, Al-Amin and Ismail were dead when taken tot he hospital.
