War crimes: Mahidur-Afsar verdict Wednesday 

The International War Crimes Tribunal is set to pronounce its verdict on Wednesday in the case against Muslim League leaders Mahidur Rahman and Afsar Hossain alias Chhutu of Chapainawanganj for their crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.

Police have arrested the fugitive war crimes accused Abdur Razzak from Atangeri hill in Moulovibazar district for his alleged crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.

2 suspected robbers lynched in Keraniganj 

Two suspected robbers have been beaten to death by angry mob at Rashulpur village under Keraniganj upazila of Dhaka district. The deceased are Shohag alias Rejaul Islam alias Reju, 28, and Aminul Islam.

A Chhatra League activists has been shot dead by miscreants at Amani Lakshmipur village undersadar upazila. The deceased is Mamunur Rashid Khan, son of Abu Toiyob of the village.

More than 50 people have been killed in a landslide in Antioquia province in north-west Colombia, officials say. President Juan Manuel Santos said the authorities do not know how many people are still missing.

A retired army man has been hacked to death following previous enmity at Shashabaria village under Gopalganj sadar upazila. The deceased is Lakku Molla, 63, brother of Paikandi UP member Makku Molla.

Key Thai trafficking suspect surrenders 

The prime suspect of human trafficking in Thailand has surrendered to police on Monday. The man, Patchuban “Ko Tong” Angchotipan, is former chief of Satun province. Patchuban was produced in a press conference at the Royal Thai Police Office on Monday afternoon, Bankok Post reported.
