Two people including a child were killed in separate road accidents in Munshiganj on Sunday.
Jahangir Alom, 25, a covered-van driver, died when a truck hit him at the Char Mukterpur area of Munshiganj on Sunday morning.
He was the son of Abul Kalam of Noakhali.
Police held the truck driver and seized the truck.
Officer in Charge Md Yunus Ali of Munshiganj Sadar Police said the seriously wounded Jahangir was taken to Khanpur Hospital where he died.
A case will be filed in this connection, the OC added.
In another road accident, a grade-2 student of Vattacharyayarbag Govt Primary School, Konika, 6, died when she was run over by an auto rickshaw near Baniabari under Panchaser union of the sadar upazila on Sunday morning.
Konika was the daughter of Jamal Dhali of the Baniabari area of Munshiganj.
When she was taken to Munshiganj General Hospital, the on-duty doctor declared her dead.
OC Md Yunus Ali said the auto rickshaw managed to flee the scene.
