A couple received bullet wounds when unknown miscreants opened fire on them in the capital's Nawabpur road on Sunday afternoon.
The victims are Abul Sarder, 40, and his wife Rina Akhter, 35.
According to the victims, the unknown miscreants fired at them while the couple were crossing the area at around 3:30pm, leaving them injured.
Later, locals admitted them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 4pm.
Abul received a bullet in his right arm while Rina did so in her left arm, said Sentu Chandra Das of the DMCH police outpost.
He said: “The local police are investigating the attack.”
