Angry people have caught a man and beat him up after a three-member group was digging a hole on the roof of a Agrani Bank branch in Kuyaish area under Hathazari upazila in Chittagong.
Injured Shukkur was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Hathazari police Inspector Md Salahuddin told the Dhaka Tribune: "The security guard in front of the Agrani Bank branch started shouting when he saw three persons were digging a hole on the roof around 11pm Thursday."
Hearing the utterance, locals rushed in and chased the robbers. Meanwhile, they caught one of them and beat him up.
