At least five female students have been injured as plaster of a roof fell on them inside the classroom of a school at the Banglabazar area under Sadarghat police station in Chittagong.
The incident took place at around 12pm on Wednesday at UCEP School in Banglabazar during a coaching class, said Sadarghat OC Abul Kalam Azad.
The plaster fell on the five students, as the school is located in an old building, leaving the girls injured, said the OC.
He, however, could not reveal the name and details of the injured students immediately.
OC Abul Kalam said the injured were given primary treatment at Agrabad Maa O Shishu Hospital while locals had closed the school’s classrooms after the accident.
