Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed the authorities concerned to send 10,000 metric tons of rice and an adequate quantity of water to earthquake-hit Nepal.
PM's Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhuri said this on Monday, reports BSS.
He said the rice and water would be transported to Nepal through air and road routes in phases.
According to CNN, the death toll from the devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 that struck Nepal on April 25 climbed to 7,250 and the number of people injured is 14,122.
Besides, thousands of houses and other establishments were destroyed in the tremor.
