The body of an unidentified pregnant woman has been found in a forest at Kholapara area in Gazipur.
The woman was aged about 35 years old.
Konabari police outpost Sub-Inspector Mobarak Hossain said: “Locals noticed the body near Dhaka-Rajshahi rail route on Monday morning.”
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Medical college morgue for autopsy.
He said: “Black spot was noticed on her neck. A towel was wrapped around her neck. It is being suspected that she was strangled by the towel.”
