The Bangladesh Meteorological Department forecasts rain across the country in 24 hours from 9am on Sunday.
“Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin.
Day temperature may fall by 1-2°C, and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The axis of monsoon troughs runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal to Assam across the southern part of Bangladesh, it said.
One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
