Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast heavy (44-88mm/24hrs) to very heavy (> 88mm/24hrs) rainfall at many places over in three divisions due to active southwest monsoon.
It predicted rains in Chittagong, Barisal and Khulna divisions commencing 10am on Saturday, said a bulletin.
Due to very heavy rainfall landslide may occur at places over the hilly regions in Chittagong division.
Besides, temporary waterlogging may occur at places in Chittagong metropolitan areas, it added.
