Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) Chairman Md Azizul Islam inspected agricultural operations in Chuadanga, Jhenaidah and Faridpur on Saturday-Sunday, stressing the need for timely and uninterrupted delivery of quality seeds, balanced non-urea fertilizers, and irrigation services to farmers.
During the visit, he directed officials to strictly follow all quality assurance measures in seed distribution, warning that no compromise would be tolerated. He described BADC’s first-ever domestic production of summer onion seed as a major challenge and called for greater accountability and adherence to the planned work program, said a press release.
The chairman also instructed officials to monitor fertilizer sales by dealers to ensure farmers receive supplies.
