Nagarkrishi has been awarded as the Best Agricultural Business Entity of the country by the Teer-Prothom Alo jury.
Prothom Alo, on April 6, hosted an agriculture awards show along with City Group, where it declared Nagarkrishi the best in the category for the year 2018.
Matiur Rahman, editor of Prothom Alo said: “They received 565 applications for eight categories and 24 of the nominees were visited for a final evaluation. Out of those 24 outstanding applicants, it was hard to select the winners for each category but the best contributors were selected.”
Nagarkrishi was founded in 2016 by three agricultural enthusiasts to change the traditional urban picture into a beautiful green valley.
The award show also honoured the veteran Emeritus scientist Dr Kazi M Badruddoza, for his lifelong achievements in the field of agriculture in Bangladesh.
