An unidentified man was killed after being struck by a train at Tejgaon Railway Station in Dhaka on Monday morning. His identity could not be established.
The deceased was estimated to be around 35 years old. He was wearing a blue full-sleeved shirt and a lungi.
Dhaka Railway Police Station Sub-Inspector Rafiqul Islam said: “An unidentified man was killed on the spot after being hit by a train at the end of Platform No 1 of Tejgaon Railway Station on Monday morning. After receiving the information, police recovered the body from the spot at around 8:45am. Following legal procedures, the body has been sent to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.”
He added that efforts are underway to identify the deceased.
