Man hacked dead in Dhaka

The deceased Mohammad Manik, 45, was hacked around 5.15am on Sunday. Pallabi police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Billal Hossain rescued Manik in critical condition and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Billal Hossain said: “Manik succumbed to injuries at 6:45am. Police have found Manik’s NID in his pocket and are trying to communicate with his family.” “The body was sent to the morgue for autopsy. We are investigating the murder,” the SI added.
