Carrying wallets, purses restricted in BDS exam

They will be only allowed to carry money, admit cards and other necessary documents in clear bags. But there is a restriction on carrying any kind of electronic device including watch, mobile phone and calculator in the examination centres. The decision came on Thursday following a meeting concerning security measures for BDS exam. It was chaired by Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim and held at Bangladesh Secretariat in Dhaka. A total of 22,355 applicants will take the test at three centres in Dhaka and two centres in Chittagong and Rajshahi respectively. The minister urged the concerned officials to be alert about rumours regarding the leakage of question papers before or after the test. He also instructed the officials to monitor and check the applicants when they enter the exam halls, and said: “Candidates should arrive at the exam venues at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time.” State Minister Zahid Malek, Health Secretary Md. Sirajul Islam and Director General of Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) Dr Abul Kalam Azad also attended the meeting.
