Xi Jinping’s tour schedule for Dhaka

Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Dhaka on a 22-hour whirlwind visit. A special aircraft of Air China carrying the Chinese president and his entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 11:40am Friday. President Abdul Hamid welcomed his Chinese counterpart with state honour at the VVIP terminal of the airport. The Chinese president is due to hold meeting and talks with President, Prime Minister and some other high ups during his visit. The itinerary includes- official talks with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office and the signing ceremony of several agreements and MoUs 3:10pm, courtesy call by Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at Le Méridien Dhaka at 4:35pm, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will meet him at the same hotel at 5pm and he will have a meeting with President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban 6:30pm. On Saturday morning, Xi Jinping will place wreaths at the National Memorial in Savar. He will leave Dhaka for Goa, India to attend the eighth BRICS Summit Saturday at 10am.
