One held with 1.47kg gold at Dhaka airport

Customs House has detained a person with 1.47kg gold worth Tk75 lakh at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. Faruk Hossain was detained around 12:30pm on Monday. Dhaka Customs House Assistant Commissioner (preventive) HM Ahsanul Kabir said: “He arrived at the airport on a Thai Airways flight around 11:45am. A total of 14 gold bars and 13 chains were recovered from his possession.”
