Child found dead in Gaibandha

The deceased is Shahid, son ofAzizar Rahman Mondol and a class III student of Jamdani Government Primary School. Sadullapur OC Farhad Imrul Kayes said: “Shahid used to work as a van puller in his spare time to support his family. He went missing with the vehicle on Wednesday evening.” He said: “On information from the locals, we went to the spot and recovered his slaughtered body on Thursday morning.” Assailants might have taken his van and killed him, he added. The OC said Shahid’s body has been sent to Gaibandha Sadar morgue for autopsy.
