The accident took place in Qatif, some 400km north-east of Riyadh
Six Bangladeshi workers, including two brothers, have been killed and another injured in a road accident in Saudi Arabia, the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh says.
A car carrying the workers collided with another vehicle at Qatif, some 400 kilometres east from capital Riyadh, Thursday morning, Ambassador Golam Moshi told UNB over the phone.
The victims are Shahidul and his brother Babul, hailing from Barisal; Rafiqul Islam of Patuakhali; Sirajul Islam, Rana Sahabuddin, from Bhola; and Sharif, the UNB reports.
Moshi said Saiful, another Bangladeshi worker injured in the accident, was being treated at a local hospital.
Officials from the Bangladesh Mission rushed to the spot after learning about the accident, he added.
The oil-rich gulf is one of Bangladesh's major manpower export markets. Bangladesh receives billions of dollars in remittance from workers working in the Middle-East.
