Husband arrested for murder of pregnant woman in Habiganj

A man has been arrested for the murder of his pregnant wife at Sadekpur in Chunarughat upazila, Habiganj. Local people said Russel Mia had an altercation with his wife Tahera Banu, 22, over a family feud on Thursday night. At one stage, Russel along with his family members beat her up indiscriminately, leaving her dead on the spot. On receiving information, police went to the spot and recovered the body on Friday morning. Officer-in-Charge of Chunarghat police station told the Dhaka Tribune that they had arrested Russel for his involvement with the killing.
