A policeman was killed as a microbus hit him in Mailer Matha area, Chittagong city early yesterday.
Rupam Chandra Nath, 30, son of Narayan Chandra Nath, a resident of Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong, joined EPZ police station five years ago as an assistant sub-inspector.
Md Abul Kalam, officer-in-charge of EPZ police station, said: “A microbus hit him from behind when he was returning to the police station riding on a motorcycle.”
