Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday directed the authorities concerned to keep the National Parliament Complex clean and carry out necessary renovation work to preserve its beauty and environment.
He gave the directives while inspecting the complex in the afternoon.
During the visit, Tarique Rahman toured the grounds, gardens and different parts of the complex, observing the overall environment, infrastructure and cleanliness of the area surrounding the National Parliament Building.
He stressed the need for regular care and proper maintenance to maintain the beauty and environment of the National Parliament Plaza.
The prime minister asked the authorities to ensure the cleanliness of the grounds and gardens and take necessary measures for greenery and proper care of existing trees and plants.
He also directed them to identify areas in and around the National Parliament Plaza that require renovation and complete the necessary work.
Tarique Rahman emphasised regular monitoring and maintenance of the plaza and adjacent areas while preserving the architectural design and aesthetic appeal of the National Parliament Building.
