The Special Response Battalion (SRB) has found several objects resembling crude bombs at the Shaheed Buddhijibi Graveyard in the capital.
The SRB Bomb Disposal Unit is working to neutralise the objects.
The information was disclosed in a message sent by the SRB on Monday night.
According to the message, a special team from SRB-2’s Special Company has cordoned off the site where the bomb-like objects were found and placed it under a security perimeter.
The SRB Bomb Disposal Unit is carrying out operations at the scene.
Earlier in the day, around 20 crude bombs and petrol bomb-like objects were recovered from the former International Trade Fair ground in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station, said: “SRB found some bomb-like objects abandoned at the fairground. They are working to defuse them.”
Meanwhile, law enforcement personnel cordoned off the area and restricted public movement for security reasons.
