Eight senior police officers have been transferred, including three additional superintendents of police and five assistant superintendents of police.
The transfers were announced in a notification issued by Police Headquarters on Tuesday.
According to the notification, Additional Superintendent of Police at Police Headquarters Mohammad Reza Sarwar has been transferred to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). He was previously transferred to Satkhira as an additional superintendent of police on August 25, but that order has now been cancelled.
Additional Superintendent of Police at the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Md Anis Uddin has been transferred to Kurigram, while Additional Superintendent of Police (TR) at Police Headquarters Zahidul Islam has been transferred to Police Headquarters.
Meanwhile, Assistant Superintendent of Police of Maksudpur Circle in Gopalganj, Nafisur Rahman, has been transferred to RAB, while Assistant Superintendent of Police of Karimganj Circle in Kishoreganj, Subir Kumar Saha, has been transferred to Maksudpur Circle in Gopalganj.
Assistant Superintendent of Police of the Naval Police Md Sohel Mia has been transferred to Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP), while Assistant Police Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Azizur Rahman Khan has been transferred to the office of the Khulna Range deputy inspector general.
Assistant Police Commissioner of GMP Arup Ratan Sarkar has been transferred to Sapahar in Naogaon.
The notification said the transferred officers have been instructed to join their new workplaces by September 26. Otherwise, they will be considered immediately released from their current posts from September 27.
