The bodies of a man and his two sons were recovered from their home in Sharsha upazila of Jessore on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Kamal Hossain, 45, and his sons Sabir, 5, and Jabir, around two and a half years old.
Sharsha police station Officer-in-Charge Shaminul Haque confirmed the incident.
He said that they initially suspect Kamal killed his two sons by strangulation before taking his own life.
“The investigation will determine how the children died and the exact circumstances of the incident,” the OC added.
According to local sources, Kamal had seven children from multiple marriages. He had divorced his first two wives. His latest wife reportedly left for her parents’ home in Narail about a week ago following a family dispute, leaving the two children with their father.
