Inner Wheel Club of Dhaka holds first executive committee meeting

The first executive committee meeting of the Inner Wheel Club of Dhaka Buriganga 345 was held on Tuesday at Mirpur DOHS in the capital.

The meeting, held at 11:30am, was chaired by Club President Kazi Nasrin Anam and attended by members of the executive committee. District Chairman of Inner Wheel District 345, Shirin Akhtar Chowdhury, was also present.

The meeting discussed the club's future plans, upcoming programs and strategic priorities.

As part of its social welfare initiatives, the club distributed several sewing machines to underprivileged women to help them become self-reliant.

Participants also discussed initiatives to support the establishment of a cancer hospital and a children's hospital.

The Inner Wheel is one of the world's largest international women's voluntary service organisations, working to promote women's empowerment, friendship and the welfare of underprivileged communities.

Closely associated with Rotary International, the organisation operates through Districts 328 and 345 in Bangladesh, with several active clubs in Dhaka, including the Inner Wheel Club of Dhaka, Dhaka Metro, Agradut Dhaka, Greater Dhaka and Dhaka Heritage.

The organisation primarily focuses on women's welfare, healthcare services for disadvantaged communities, flood relief, public awareness campaigns and initiatives aimed at empowering women.
