PM urges youth to become entrepreneurs

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Tuesday urged young people to become entrepreneurs despite challenges, saying the government will support them. He made the remarks while inaugurating the National Startup and Entrepreneurship Platform at the University of Dhaka.

Speaking at the event titled "Youth, Startups, and Promising Bangladesh" at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, the prime minister said the government would continue to assist aspiring entrepreneurs.

He said: "You will have to go through many challenges. However, the government is here to support you and guide you. We will do our utmost to stand by you."

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, in collaboration with the University of Dhaka, organized the event.

Addressing the young entrepreneurs, Tarique Rahman said many had already made significant progress and were contributing to society and the country's development.

He said their efforts are needed to improve the lives of millions of people across Bangladesh.

More than 230 student entrepreneurs from 8 universities, along with successful entrepreneurs, attended the event.
