Bodies of 5 Bangladeshis killed in Qatar road crash to arrive home on Tuesday

The bodies of five Bangladeshi expatriates from Sylhet's Kanaighat upazila, killed in a tragic road accident in Qatar, are set to arrive in Bangladesh on Tuesday.

The Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar confirmed the matter, stating that the bodies will be sent to Bangladesh on a special flight from Qatar on Monday night (local time).

The deceased have been identified as Jibal Uddin, son of the late Abdur Noor of Amarpur village; Jasim Uddin, son of Siraj Uddin of Majhtaluk village; Mostak Ahmed, son of Selim Ahmed of Agtaluk village; Jubayer Ahmed, son of the late Mora Mia of the same village; and Kader Ahmed, son of Bahar Uddin of Nij Gachhbari village under Dakshin Banigram union.

According to the embassy, the repatriation of the bodies is being financed by the Bangladesh Wage Earners’ Welfare Board. The remains are scheduled to depart Hamad International Airport in Doha aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 10:15 pm local time on Monday.

The flight is expected to land at Sylhet MAG Osmani International Airport at around 6:45 am (Bangladesh time) on Tuesday.
The embassy said the bodies will be handed over to the victims’ families upon arrival.
