Mild earthquake felt in parts of Bangladesh

A mild earthquake was felt in Cox's Bazar and several other parts of Bangladesh on Sunday night.

The tremor struck at 9:53pm.

According to the Earthquake Observation and Research Centre of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the earthquake measured 4.1 on the Richter scale.

The BMD said the earthquake's epicentre was located in the Bangladesh-Myanmar border region (21.57°N, 92.59°E). It was approximately 334km southeast of the department's seismic observatory in Agargaon, Dhaka.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
