The meeting focused on exploring investment opportunities, industrial development, technology transfer, and long-term strategic cooperation in Bangladesh's rapidly growing refrigeration, air conditioning, electronics, and electrical manufacturing sectors.
Welcoming the Chinese delegation, Md Anwarul Islam highlighted Bangladesh's remarkable economic transformation, expanding industrial base, and growing demand for advanced cooling and electrical technologies. He emphasized that Bangladesh has emerged as one of the most promising investment destinations in South Asia, offering a large consumer market, competitive labor costs, and an increasingly business-friendly environment.
During the discussion, Islam presented an overview of Bangladesh's refrigeration and air conditioning industry and outlined the significant opportunities available for foreign investors in manufacturing, technology partnerships, research and development, and export-oriented production.
“Bangladesh is entering a new era of industrialization,” said Md Anwarul Islam. “With the right combination of foreign investment, advanced technology, and strategic partnerships, our country has the potential to become a regional manufacturing hub for refrigeration, air conditioning, and electronic products.”
Kou Huili (Coco) expressed her appreciation for Bangladesh's impressive economic growth and industrial progress. She noted that the country's expanding infrastructure, young workforce, and supportive investment policies have created a favorable environment for international investors.
“Bangladesh demonstrates strong potential for sustainable industrial growth,” Coco stated. “We are encouraged by the government's commitment to economic development and the opportunities available across various manufacturing sectors.”
The meeting also explored potential cooperation in energy-efficient cooling solutions, smart manufacturing technologies, electronics production, renewable energy applications, and industrial modernization initiatives. Both sides agreed that technology transfer and workforce development would play a crucial role in enhancing Bangladesh's industrial competitiveness.
Islam further emphasized the importance of strengthening business-to-business engagement between Bangladesh and China, noting that greater collaboration could accelerate investment, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the country's long-term economic development.
The BRAMA President also reaffirmed the association's commitment to facilitating constructive dialogue between international investors and local industry stakeholders to support sustainable growth in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed optimism regarding future cooperation and agreed to maintain regular communication to explore potential investment projects and strategic partnerships.
