Earthquake tremors were felt in Dhaka and several parts of Bangladesh at 11:37pm on Snday.
Assistant Meteorologist Farzana Sultana of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said the epicentre of the earthquake was in Bhutan, with a magnitude of 5.6 on the Richter scale.
Meanwhile, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the epicentre was located 28 kilometres northeast of Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan.
